A decadent twist on a summer classic, this strawberry goat cheese crumble with a basil balsamic reduction is everything your ice cream needs. You’ll fall in love with farm fresh strawberries and raspberries, maple goat cheese, and the spelt pecan crumble
Hey guys! This week I am taking a break from my “What to do with your CSA farm share” series –kind of. This recipe is totally seasonal but not everyone gets berries from a farm share. Definitely a farmers market though! Raspberries are so hot right now.
Strawberry Goat Cheese Crumble
Just recently I shared this recipe on Honest Cooking and wanted to give you, my wonderful readers, a piece of the action…or crumble.
Strawberry goat cheese crumble may sound odd but it has become one of those recipes I want to make again and again. Because the perfect crunchy crumble laced with pecans and oats makes life, and jogging 5k, worth doing. But that’s without even considering the sweet strawberries, raspberries, and goat cheese waiting underneath, just screaming for ice cream and a drizzle of sweet basil infused balsamic.
I am a little excited about strawberry goat cheese crumble.
We are officially out of our small-little, one bedroom, basement apartment. Most of our goodbyes have been said and Jazz, my partner, is already in Grand Rapids. Meanwhile, Willow and I are having a bit of a holiday hanging with one of my very good friends for several days. We are playing tourists in Toronto which has been a blast. Tomorrow we head out of Canada with a tearful goodbye, at least for a short while.
Thanks to everyone who gave brilliant moving advice, kind words, and good vibes. This has been the easiest move so far in my life, as far as the actual packing and moving goes. Hallelujah for small apartments! For sure going to need a strawberry goat cheese crumble when this all over though, as if I haven’t been hella indulging the past month.
